FORMATION OF RESIDENTIAL JOINT VENTURE WITH PERSIMMON
The Long Marston Estate
St. Modwen has received planning permission from Stratford-on-Avon District Council for a mixed-use development at its 190 hectare (470 acre) Long Marston Estate site. A six month programme of site clearing and demolition has now commenced.
The Long Marston Estate masterplan seeks to create a vibrant new mixed-use village and extend the Greenway from Stratford-upon-Avon through the Estate.
Detailed planning permission received for:
- retention of 80,000 sq m of employment space on the site which already provides opportunities for over 500 jobs
- retention of the rail storage and restoration uses, as well as a rail based leisure attraction
- enhancement of the access to the site including a new roundabout at the B4632 entrance, as well as a new roundabout at the Campden Road/Shipston Road junction.
Outline planning permission received for:
- up to 150 self catering lodges
- up to 150 holiday homes
- a touring caravan park
- community and leisure hub
- sports pitches
- up to 500 homes, including affordable housing to meet local needs
