Background
The 190 hectare Long Marston Estate is located roughly 6 miles south of Stratford-Upon-Avon town centre and adjacent to the B4632 (formerly the A46) Campden Road.
The Ministry of Defence (MOD) purchased the site in 1940 as a central facility for military operations and it later became an MOD Central Engineers Depot. St Modwen subsequently acquired the site from Defence Estates in November 2004 when the MOD had no further use for it.
Occupied by national and local businesses, today the site accommodates former MOD buildings and provides over 80,000 sq metres of office, industrial and distribution space. The site also contains circa 40,000 sq metres of existing hard standing and over 30 miles of rail track connected to the mainline network to the south.
