Ecology & Environment

The Long Marston masterplan has been sensitively designed to minimise the impact on local wildlife by retaining important habitats and retaining or improving pathways to enable species to move freely within the site.

St. Modwen is already committed to ecology on the Long Marston Estate with the conservation of a rare species of butterfly having won the national Marsh Award for the “Promotion of Lepidoptera”, for habitat enhancement and management which has supported the protection of the endangered Grizzled Skipper butterfly.

Overall, with the careful design of the development and St. Modwen’s commitment to management of wildlife habitats, the biodiversity of the site should be increased as a result of the development.
